Can you fit a Turbo to anything??

Bit of a weird question here guys!!
I was just wondering if you can fit a turbo to any engine?? Wouldn't mind one on my X18XE engine.

I've seen that Jinkus has a turbo on his 1.6 SXI so was just wondering!!

    Cheers

most probably! have a search in universal salavge yards....they usually have auctions every couple of weeks...u might b able to pick up a cheap GSI, or if u come across a red top!

It'd probably work out cheaper to sell your car and get one already turbo'd - GSi, SRiT or Coupe.

BTW red tops (20XE or C20 XE) were used in MK2 & 3 Astras, Mk3 Cavs and Cally's. They formed the base engine for cav ans cally turbo's (C20LET)

And look like this (masterpiece )

Theres a cally 4x4 turbo on autotrader for £995, thats a bargain. As already said it ain't worth trying to convert you engine, you may as well get the car, or a full engine, the c20let.
