    GSI Aerial

Anyone got any idea on how to remove the aerial on the G?

Not just the "whipping ops: " bit but the base also.

You'll have to drop the Headlining down and there's a nut holding the aerial base to the roof.
    Then the wires just unplug.

I dont mean to be nosey, buy why?! :?:

Be careful as it also has a feed for your rear wash wipe, last thing you want is that leaking and staining the roof liner as it'll never be the same..

Should be simple enough, you'll have to loosen of any trim it tucks behind etc.
The biggest danger is it creasing not ripping/tearing.

BMW's run quite complex boosters mate.

not sure what shark fin you're going for and from whom, but when I had my 5 series it had a booster in each C pillar for the screen areial, about £100 each, so I would imagine they use something similar in order to get a good reception.

anything other than a mast will probably give you a bad reception, so you could try one of those inline powerred boosters like VW used to use
