Astra Cabrio rear suspension when 18's are factory fitted...

If you have the 18" wheels as an optional extra on the Cabrio, it also says "uprated rear suspension" My car is coming from teh factory with the crap 16" wheels and i'm going to chuck some 18's on straight away, but i wondered what actual modifications are made to the rear suspension in the factory?

I was thinking it either has stiffer shocks to stop the wheels rubbing, or larger bumpstops.

If anyone knows, i would appreciate it.

18's will fit fine on the cab with no bother at all. They most likely stiffen the suspension if anything at all. Either way you will lower it so what they do at the factory is not important surely??

MY mate has a cabby, he fitted 18's and it was fine, then when he lowered it the arches had to be rolled. I don't know the offset of his wheels tho so maybe they stuck out too much
