    Wax or Polish or both???????

Pardon the stupid question, but I ain't got a clue what the difference is. When you've washed, do you polish and wax or both?? and in what order?

    thanks

Yup just as Markja says, polish first to get a great shine, then a coat of wax to protect shine and paint, repeat at least once a month or more to keep the paint in tip top condition!

Meguiars 3 stage range is well suited to what your after:

Step 1: Deep Crystal Paint Cleaner - £7.99
    Step 2: Deep Crystal Polish - £7.99
Step 3: Deep Crystal Carnauba wax - £7.99

Meguiars is good stuff, but quite expensive too.
I use Auto Glym (mainly cos of discount through work!) the super resin polish to shine it then Extra Gloss Protection after that, it's a really thin liquid and smells like petrol (sweet!) rub it on, leave it for half hour, buff, then put on your shades and admire your handywork!

as the rest of the lads have said, polish then wax. U may even want a scratch remover like meguiars scratch x.

I dont like autoglym very much and if u want a good shine my advice is buy good stuff to start with, dont get me wrong autoglym shines but then it fades and it doesnt have the richness and visual clarity of many other polishes/waxes.
