I have a question regarding Insurance.
I am currently in the process of training to become a driving instructor, once I have passed the courses and stuff I will be given a new car every 6 months. (Vaux Corsa 1.2 16v)
I am allowed to use this car for my own use aswell as teaching,
I am considering selling my car, as I wont need 2 cars.
My plan is as follows -
Sell my car and save the cash
Use the corsa for my work and personal use for a year or 2 to get some savings and so i can buy me and my girlfriend a house
Then once I have a house I will buy a coupe turbo or GSI
I currently have 7 years no claims, so.............
My question is
If I stop my current insurance that I have on my astra now and sell the car, obviously I wont need any insurance as I will be insured on the corsa by the driving school company. So how does this affect my no claims bonus when I come to insure a coupe or gsi in a couple of years??
I read somewhere that if you dont have insurance for a couple of years then your NCB becomes void, is this true?
Sorry its a bit long winded, just wanted to include as much info as poss!!
