what sort of sub box are you going for LED man, are we talking one note wonder to 'burp' in Db drag, or something built for what we used to call street bass

judging from the mids n stuff I would guess the latter

with 6 12's inside the cabin and 2 12" spl oriantated sub's in the boot i guess its going to be pretty much Streetbass, lol

not going to enter any comp's with it.

im hoping to start doing a lot more fibreglass installs for customers so i need a decent Demo car to show people.

the idea is to remove the rear seats and panel the back and sides out,
have the 6 12" sub's 3 per side on a big curved wall, going from the front seats to the back. the amp's will sit on a fibreglassed floor under the sub box's.

the wiring will go up the a- pillar's and down the back pillars, into the boot, wit some special touch's! like voltmetres in the pillars, distribution blocks in the back pillars, all blended and fibreglassed in.

the dash is gonna be compleatly cut apart and every thing changed. Im going to spend a lot of time getting the dash symetrical, with the dials in the centre, and a smaller more modern steering wheel, accross the top part of the dash im gonna have 6 pod gagues 3 per side at the back, in a simelar design to the subs in the rear.

ive got everything workked out in theory, and loads of drawing's. just need to find a couple of weeks free to hack my 8 week old car apart! lol

questions: why 4 gauge? and why 6 sets of co-axs and 2 sets of comps??? its gna sound w*nk!

it wont sound w*nk at all, 2 run's of 4 awg is perfectly adiquate for anything i need to run. 6 sets of co-axil's are for the 'wow' factor when its at show's etc.

and to be perfectly honest, co-axil's are no worse than components, its all to do with where they are placed, ie, components often sound better in most situations because the mid-range driver is low down, often near your feet, if you put a set of co-ax's there they would play too low and sound poor, if however you made a custom build for your co-ax's and aimed them right and aligned them corectly, there wouldnt be much difference in SQ,

and also fed up of having a system that sounds amazin but doesnt go as loud as i would like, for the last 3 months i have been running a set of Focal Utopia' 3 way's from a Rainbow Vanadium 6ch amp, and a rainbow 12" sub, all set up on RTA, wasnt particularly impresssed.

This car will be a demo car for my company and hopefully show people what my installs are like and get me some business.

plus i like cuttin things up
