Have to say - I never experienced this when i had mine on. You can have quick successive dumps - if you press and release throttle on boost. but thats about it.

Explain what you mean a bit more - where have you heard this term?

    re: double dumping

only thing i can think of related to it would be either 2 series DVs or a twin turbo with a split DV series.

my cousins old skyline "double dumped" becuase he had two DV's fitted with it being a twin turbo and one went off a fraction before the other and it sounded like a Double Dump!

I Also noticed the chatter is a little bit different it's a bit more high pitch when you have two DV's or it might have just been my cousins ones they were made by HKS dunno if it was just the style of them that made it kind of high pitched!

Depending on what type of Dump Valve you are using and what boost pressure, sometime you have to fit dual DV's. They usually fire off fractionally out of sync and sound well mean, but to fit them to any Astra G would probably be problematic. The Bailey DV26 is a dual piston anyway, so dumps air more efficiently than most diaphragm DVs, making a secondary DV uneccessary.
