My mate who owns Carmodi can get me a K&N Filter for £70 normally over £100 and fit it for me
worth getting or not?
At that price it will be a cone, unless it's the new Typhoon type.
Good price if fitted at that and will make a cool induction noise.
Not sure if totally suitable for your car as I don't know which model you drive ?
it s a 2.0l turbo cabby-he said he was gonna fit it on his coupe turbo
Think its the typhoon one-it is pretty big and has a chrome top with what i would describe as pleats on the sides!! Sorry not a techie i'm afraid
Yer he said it will sound wicked and gives an extra 5-7% BHP
*EDIT* It is the open cone and you will lose bhp from it mate. Sorry didn't read description properly. yes it is a bad idea.
57i and is poor in the way of power gains, it sounds good but will lose power.
Typhoon intake and is still doubtable about power gains but meant to be OK from what i'm heard. I haven't used or tested any yet so i reserve judgment.
i will ask him if its the Typhoon and it is enclosed-sure he showed me a cone to compare but will check first
He can do it cheap as it was an incorrect order-he said it normally retails over £100 can't remember exact figure though
if that's it then it will sound pretty awesome admittedly but i can't comment on gains as i haven't seen any proven gains as of yet. I'll try n dig up a rolling road figure from my mates audi. Prefer when the whole filter element is enclosed as it will still suffer from heat soak from the turbo i would of thought but try and get him to rolling road his first before you get one
