    Going back to old school.

Picked up this the other month.

Genuine 36k mile Cavalier SRi 16v. Full service history from new, it's very very clean. 1 previous owner, who had a 4x4 and never ran in winter.

It's the perfect base platform for modding, have alot planned, going to be alot of fun. Before the Coupe I had Cavaliers for over 6 years, so know what there about. I'm over the moon to be honest.

Fast this is, driving it back my mate was in my 2.2 Astra and having to work to keep up. Standard for standard I reckon this handles better also, it certainly has alot more driver feedback.

They don't make them like they use to.

    Thanks Kev,

It's not perfect clean, if you get up close there is marks in the paint. I don't think the previous owner waxed the car much, also 2 of wheels are damaged. But no rust what so ever, very important.

Mods, here we go, suspension, front rear braces, 288mm Vectra brakes, replace the tyres with F1's. There is alot of flex in these cars, more than the Astra. The standard brakes are pants also. When thats done i'll think about the engine.

The car cost £1500, so don't mind spending on mods. Throttle bodies are a option, it's all posible on a car this age and money.

wow, thats a stunner mate, if only i could find one like that! (secretly wanting and looking for a cav turbo still) I still have my Cavalier and i prefer it to my mk4 Astra.... The astra is a very good car dont get me wrong, i do own one, but i think the cavaliers are great cars. Just thought i'd comment on you finding such a fine example. I dont have the heart to get rif of mine, its part of me now lol. Hope it all goes well mate, its good to see there are still good ones that can be found.

Happy modding! That looks like it's in excellent condition for it's age.
