    exhaust fitment question ....

    anyone know if an exhaust backbox of a mk3 1.6 8v will fit my mk3 1.8 16v ecotec ?

    Its a Stainless Steel powerflow box.

    it depends what year both cars as your car will have one hanger in the middle and i think the 8 valver will be two at the front and one at the back
    I had both those cars before my mk 4 mine the 1.6 was a P reg and the 1.8 16valve was an N have u had any problems with the 1.8 as mine was terrible but unbelievably fast

    mine is an N too ! so its just the hanging positions that will be different then ?

    TOUCH WOOD FINGERS CROSSED ETC had no probs apart from a leaky rockr gasket with my 1.8 is fast though as you say im happy with it .

    ok turns out the exhaust is actaully a 16v but its off of an L reg so phase 1 i assume will it go on my phase 2 ecotec ok or will the hangars still be diff ?
