    215/40 tyres

    Does anyone know if i'll get 215/40 tyres on 17 x 7 inch rims, on a mk3 astra with out it rubbing, baring in mind the car is lowered 50mm all round???

    I know I had 215/40/17's (no idea on wheel width) for all of 10 minutes and the rubbed straight away when pulling outta my drive.

    The car had alot of arch work done though from rust repair so they could have been sticking in more :?

    Oh and mine was lowered about 40mm

    215 will rub. 205/40 wont rub and will only fit a 7x17. 7.5x17 is a 215/40 tyre
