    Coupe prices!

I've been planning on getting a used coupe for a little while now, whilst on the vauxhall website i found that you can have 3 free searches using glass's guide for the p/x values of cars. I searched for a 2000/W 1.8 and the results that came back were surprising

    60k miles
    excelent cond. - £5030
    average cond. - £4360
    belove ave. - £3770

    40k miles
    excelent cond. - £5400
    average cond. - £4710
    belove ave. - £4070

This is loads less than i was expecting to pay, before anyone says "but that's for p/x not what u can buy them for" my dad works for a car supermarket and i can get cars for the price the company paid + £100 admin fee.
Sorry that there isn't really a point for this post but i'm a wee bit excited that i'm probably going to get my car for lots less than i thought more money for mods once i have it i suppose plus i can afford more options too like leather seats etc.
just have to wait for the right one to come along now

Saw just how cheap they can be at the weekend when car shopping

2001 2.2 coupe up for £5900 and the biggest shock a 2004 turbo coupe with 900 miles on the clock for £11500

Makes mine worth less than the loan I have to pay off

yeah, it is pretty harsh on people who borrow money to buy a car, but that's a pill u have to swallow when you buy a vauxhall i suppose.

The Coupé was a sales disaster for Vauxhall in the UK. There are LOTS of used ones on forecourts that nobody wants, so if you do want one you can pretty much name your price.

Not just Vauxhall mate, this is a problem with all car manufacturers although some do hold their value better than others but Vauxhall is certainly not the worst manufacturer as far as depreciation goes. Just my opinion though

    depends where you go.

car auctions will go for 5-6K, dealerships you're talking 7-8.5K, private anything they feel is right but the book says 7-8K.

I didn't see any really cheap ones today but they have depreciated quite a bit anyway.
