    Euro Style Wheels

I'm wanting to give my astra the euro look.. and want to get some really wide looking wheels/tyres like these:

What kind of setup would i need, i.e what size wheels/tyres, offsets, spacers, suspension etc...

I'd prob like to go for 16/17's, but i really want the ones that look like the tyres are stretched over the alloy - if you know what i mean....

the problem is trying to find wheels of that diameter that are really wide so you get that stretched tyre look you want, you would need something like 8.5 - 9j wheel and fit a 215 tyre

Legomans right you'll need an 8.5-9J wheel but i dont think the arches flare out enough on the astra to keep the wheels inside them! if your tyres stick out passed your arch the car will not pass an MOT

What's to stop the tyres' being shredded on the arches when they're like that then?.. is it just a really stiff suspension setup?

    re: Euro Style Wheels

your looking at £350 per wheel up for split rims. then tyres on top.

IF it's going onto a MK4 i really suggest you get an 18" rim as it will look alot better and they do appear to be small until you see them in person.

Shouldn't have any probs with 8.5x17/18 with a 215/35/18 for example

maybe have to relocate the rear bumper bolt but that's the jist of it.

(assuming the ET is pretty vaux friendly otherwise you'll need archwork)

MOT my arse, jist chuck on some winter steelies when the time comes for mot inspection would agree wi the 18" rim tho, any rim with a big lip looks much smaller than it really is.

stubs: aye its really stiff suspension, they can do it over in europe as they're roads are 1000x better than ours here, big flat and wide, and FAR fewer ruts and pot holes to bounce into.
