    Cost of a Respray ....

Anyone any idea how much this should be. Astra size car, complete change in colour.

Nothing stupid like metal flake or candy, but want a nice pearl grey. Want all the interior on view, under bonnet etc etc doing.

I have spoken to Dawsons in Ringwood and they want to see the car first  - so wouldn't quote ! :x

Come on whats the story here ??????

REally depends on quality/extent of the respray i.e. engine bay/door checks etc. you will probably find that a normal bodyshop will be a lot less than the likes of specialist ones that fit bodykits etc.

i would say around £1000-£1200 would be a reasonable price

Dave you should know I only want the best

The car would need completely stripping I would imagine, then the paint stripping, and re-priming ?? I have no idea about this stuff !!

I'm not too bothered about length of time, but want all the bodywork on view sorting, so expect the cost to be a fair bit ???

For that extent (and depending on the paint), I would think you want see much change out of around £2k, for a trully top notch job. It may also be worth looking at the likes of places that do hot rods etc. as their paint jobs are usually the dogs thingys.

Oh and please dont tell me the x-fire will be sporting some flip paint

I was expecting, and budgeting 2.5k so that sounds good

Crossfire wont be sporting any flames or flippy paint :P - last time I checked it wasn't the size of an Astra either
