    Smart Media Cards

Does anyone know/heard of the type of differances in Smart Media Cards.

IE Version 3.3V or 5V type cards?

Need to know what the differance is and how you can tell what type of card I have is.

    cheers

    Mat

    According to this site...

Looking at your card, contact area side, with contacts uppermost

    5V: Notch on left side,
    3.3V: Notch on right side

Nothing is wrong with it I dont think, its been formatted and I am trying to get it to save MP3 files which in turn should pay on my MP3 player (old one)

The Mp£ recognises the card but wont play the tracks....bit of an odd one, it may just be old products though.

If the mp3 player can use 3.3v sm cards, let the mp3 player format the card, i have no problem with mp3's on my flash media devices (sd,sm,cf and microdrive)

Some cards are just plainly incompatible with devices.

I had a card a while back that worked on everything but the phone I needed it for. Got a different make and that was fine on the phone as well as everything else.

Try and get a TwinMOS or something like that. Viking cards from ebuyer.com are also good.
