Brits just don't get the muscle car idea. Maybe because the roads aren't big enough?

I sat in a VXR at the last Motor Show, although it's a lovely car (with performance to match), as Steve said, it's not really a car that suits British roads/ideals.

On those endless roads in the Aussie outback though, it'd be a different matter altogether.

I hired an SVT Mustang Cobra for the weekend when I lived out in Israel. With the top down and a wide straight road it was fun. On twisty bits it was a handful.

I remember the vanilla V6 Mustang softtop I had out in Florida which would get tail happy on a bonedry Interstate on-ramp.

Back on London's bumpy narrow roads with stop-start traffic, the Monaro gets frustrating. The clutch is heavier than a Lotus Carlton, and soon makes my leg ache plodding along at 10mph. Worse still is that with the mirrors out, the Monaro is wider than certain stretches of the A406.

You could print a picture of the v8 and put it over yours?
