ive been told that you cant use the rear door handles for the front doors as the fronts work by rods and the rears are worked by cables, as i was gonna do this mod a few weeks back, i was told that a way round it was to buy a left hand drive passenger door handle

You should ask for a left hand drive passenger door handle. They have the right mechanism and can clear the original lock properly, so it can be left in place.

Don't see why covering up the lock will affect the deadlocking via the remote :?

I'm planning on this mod at the weekend, so I'll let yous know
