Bought a second hand powerflow for my MK3 1.4i, it was made for a MK3 astra but the bracket on it doesn't quite go into the rubber hanger thing, i can't slide it onto the original middle pipe enough to get the bracket in. So i have bodged it on at the minute using the old exhaust hanger bracket.
Where the pipes join it is blowing because you can feel the gases and water/petrol is dripping from the join(probably because the car was stood for 8months before i got it).
If i took it a garage could they get the box on properly so it fits fully onto the pipe without blowing.
As its blowing would this cause the box to not sound as good as it should, at low revs when blipping the throttle i get a nice rumble, and deep sound. But at mid to high revs theres nothing, just like the standard exhaust, which i am not happy with. Shouldn't it be louder when at mid revs than low revs, the box is a twin pipe, each pipe is 3inches(i think), maybe two though.
Has anyone else had this style of pipe, and did it sound better than my description.
