you want to dodge the insurance, yet you want to build a replica that you have to declare the mods on, and will end up costing you the same if not more ?? :? :|

no for the first year or two mods wont be declared as it will only be a show car!

meaning only drove to shows but i still have to insure it!

Ok so you trailer it around for the first 2 years then - furry muff :|

If we're talking about a Mk4 GSi then it's going to cost a fair whack IMO.
Mk3 will be considerably cheaper - if you can find a tidy one

yea it'll be a mk3, keeping it white as its a desireable color over here!

im going to view a replica 2morro with the full gm kit on it and a lot of gsi parts which im going to strip off, im starting from scratch on a 1.4 merit shell so i need EVERYTHING!

The hardest bit will be the kit IMO. IF you can get that, then the interior, 1/2 the battle is won !

Have you advertised your requirements on Migweb (http://www.migweb.co.uk/forums/)
They tend to have alot more Mk3 info and related stuff for sale.

yep jsut about to post it on migweb, well i think i'll take this astra im going to see as it has the full gm kit already on it that i can strip of, which results in me being able to break the rest of the car and make a bit of profit

Good point ! - as you said probably worth taking it for the kit, IF it's straight ! and in good order
