Any one dropped another engine in the Astra

Any one dropped another engine in the Astra that is not another Astra engine. Im not sure something like a vectra or another car type. Would love to know what sort of capacity engine can fit in the Astra. Thinking about squeeeeezing in a 3.2L or similay. Ant experence or advice.

I think a few people have attempted this, and from what i can recall, pain in the arse, seemed to be the general feeling. Not an easy conversion, fitting the 2.5 or 3.2 v6 in, can be done, but not easy. much easier to drop the 2.0 turbo z20let in, and prob faster aswell.

Yeah thought as much. I think I may still try. Then attemtpt to fit a stand alone turbo. would take a lot of time and knowledge I dont have. Would need a friend to get this one worked out. It wont happen for a while.

2.5, 3.0 and 3.2 all fit takes a fair bit of work and fabrication but is possible. I have had my V6 in for a while now just need to finish the car

Value for money against performance the Z20LET is a much more cost effective way of getting more BHP though.

forgetting money is the BHP increase more than fitting a Z20LET. I would love to have a 3.2L just to show off. Not many in Aus would do this I dont think

The only prob with the larger engine is the weight over bhp they are heavier than the LET and not as tuneable, i know you can get 260bhp from a 2.5 but look what it costs it costs compared to £300 for a let
