    VHS onto CD-R / DVD-R

    I have a large collection of VHS vids that are now starting to take up way too much room in the house. Is it possible to hook up the VCR to the PC and stick the films on my hard drive?

    Has anyone done this? What equipment/software would I require?

    you jsut need a captur card. capture the video onto your pc, change it to mpeg format and burn it onto you vcd/dvd

    you can get them from quite a few places now, you can also get external ones that use the usb ports, this is the sort of thing you'll need
