Before people start the it's a waste of cash and there are better options debate :-
Superchips dealer is 1 mile from me, did me a good cash deal and i already have the induction kit and exhaust sorted.
I know a custom mapping would be better but to be honest it's a 1.8 and i really don't think the cost involved is worth it, driving hundreds of miles to get it mapped and the cost of mapping that goes along with it. I'll do that when i get a turbo or larger engined astra next year.
Anyway I'm really pleased with the results, the chip has smoothed the acceleration out a treat, no dodgy flat spots and has nice constant power. We all know this chip won't turn the car into a beast but it really has made it a far nicer drive. made the exhaust a bit louder too, thankfully i have a magnex jobby so it's not sounding like a corsa with 6"bore exhaust.
I'm happy with the results so far, need to get to one of these rolling road days to see if theres any real power increase over standard
