    HOW TUNEABLE ARE THESE???

    i wonder if the turbo of the next generation astras will fit??

    highest I have heard about is 320-340 bhp phase 4. Never seen one though !

    Would struggle with much more than that IMO !

    The new turbo from the VX220 VXR and forthcoming Astra VXR will fit the mk4 astra/Zafira Z20LET

    EDS have apparently got 420 BHP outof one in germany......major money and work done to it.

    Thats amazing but i wouldnt want 300bhp never mind 420bhp going through the front wheels. Would love to convert the power to the back.

    New astras may be better at handling the extra power - so maybe near 300bhp is useable in the MK5

    300 bhp through FWD is enough. Anyone willing to push more than that through an every day motor will have their hands full !

    Ideal for the odd occasion, but too much for the street IMO.

    In response to the original question, it is pointless in going more than 300bhp because the gearbox WILL go bang.

    fit the F40, which is rumoured to be able to handle up to 450 lb/ft.
