    Audi A4

Anybody driven one of these? My old man is about to get a new car and likes the look of the A4, wants an estate to take his bike in. Had a quick look at the dealer today and he liked the S-line model. I was well surprised as it's the one with the sports bodykit, twin exhaust, sports seats and 18" wheels, which really isn't normally his kinda thing, maybe he's getting taste in his old age. Was looking at the 1.8T 190bhp, anybody know anything about them or driven one? Opinions appreciated.

Never driven one, but i got a lift up the road in one similar, but it was one of the top spec RS models, seriously fast estate, V8 waiting to be unleashed! but yeah... really good cars and they tend to look good for more years than other rivals. very well built and i'd have one. the 1.8T is a great engine also, they can be tuned to 300-400hp +... big in america.

I'd save my money and get a Passat. Pretty much the same car, just has a lesser badge.

I've driven a 2.0 Sport version - great inside and superb fit and finish, but as a drive it didn't inspire.

The suspension is very firm, but it still rolls, and in the 2.0 there really isn't much power. It somehow manages to feel better than a BMW 3 series though...
