not got one but they looks the dogs.

sure i read something along the lines of if you filled it up with tunes you could listen to one every day for the next few hundred years. dunno if i got that accurately but it sure sounds good

yeah if you fill it you can listen to it sold for something like 18weeks and listen to one song a day for 27years, only down side Ive heard really is that the battery life is only expected to last around 18 months.

Yeah the battery is built into the unit, not like a AA etc.

the battery does only last 18 months and it costs in the area of £200 to replace it!

And you would be cheaper in the long run to buy a new bloody i-pod

my advice is go for a cheaper hard drive device that uses conventional batteries

Got my Mum to get me the 40Gb one whilst she was in Hong Kong - £260. Wahey! I've now got it plumbed into the Aux input in my Pioneer and I have to say, even tracks compressed at 128k AAC(Apple's equivalent to MP3) sound fantastic. You wouldn't tell it apart from a CD. Can now have my entire 800CD collection in the car in something the size of a fag packet.

Only bugbear is the battery life which, in the car of course, isn't an issue.

I have the 40gb one. As a promo from Apple I got it for £275.

Excellent and worth the money, although the 20Gb one will do you fine.

Apple do a replacement battery service, although once your warranty is up you can do it yourself.

The battery is good for 1000 full charge/discharge cycles, and it's ok to top-up charge it.

I have the 40 gig one myself (got a good deal on it) Very pleased.
