i had a nova GTE as my first hot hatch and loved it

it was glacier white and went like a rocket (well at 17 i thought it did)

loads of mods available for them and cheap to do them

i thought a 1.6 gte would be expensive to insure at 17

Yep they make good first cars in my opinion (SR/SRi moreso than GTE/GSi due to IG7 instead of IG11)

They are relatively nippy, 'sporty' interior, reliable, cheap to run and maintain. What more could you want?

The corsa sports are ideal first cars if your wanting a corsa! stay away from the SRi with the 1.4 8v hi-torque engine as they are bad for stripping the big end shells i have had to replace my bottom end at 120k and now wish i had of paid a garage to do it as it's blown twice since and none of it is my fault!
