    Front Speaker Looms, Basil

    Front Coupe Speakers

Basil, (?) How do you feed the speaker wire through the gromit, did you use some type of metal rod to push them through? was it very tight?

See this is how i'm reading it:- Left hand side:-

    Part A:-

    1:- Take glove box out

2:- Locate and Feed the wires through the gromit (?) As per above )

3:- Cut a small hole through the door loom and feed the wire through that

    Part B

1:- Take the door card out

2:- Drill a hole through the door from within the door, just under the other loom

3:- Put a gromit in the door, Wire up speakers, Seal all holes with some water proof tar/gel

Yup, I did use a metal rod (well a coat hanger (cause I could not find the tool that I had for the job), but take care either way). The passenger side is easy as you have plenty of room but the drivers side takes a bit longer. It was reletively tight but definately not impossible, just take your time and be patient. Oh and it helps to disconnect the connect at the door and holding the loom staight such that you do not need to bend the metal rod.

The rest sounds spot on after you seal the hole in the door use a rubber grommit and it might be eaiser drilling from the outside(but whichever is easier).

    Cheers
