    My oh so nice day

    All previous bodyshop plans were put off, due to being charged extreme amounts of cash, until now;

    Went and collected the car today after having a pair of infinity side skirts fitted. They look very nice and makes the car stand out more. The paint job is excellent, weather seals have been re-used and the guy who done the work said they were a dream to fit, went on first time. Well, they are from Rieger.

    Went and paid, now this is the good part. The guy said if I pay cash then he will only charge me £150 Result.

    Then he asked me what other plans I had, 20 minutes later I was booked in to have the tail gate flushed, bump strips colour coded, roof strips colour coded, handles colour coded and fitted, all for £280 + vat, but he said if I pay cash again then he will sort something out when the jobs are done. They didn`t specialise in moddifying cars, only accident repairs, but I aint complaining as they are only a 5 minute drive from me.

    So tomorrows first job is to phone the company who fitted my alarm to have the remote tailgate option fitted. I`m going to busy these next few weeks.

    Sorry for going on, it`s just that I have been ripped off on spray jobs etc in the past and it was nice to have a good job well done at last.

    Onwards and Upwards from now on.

    re: My oh so nice day

    I dont mean to be the profit of doom, and if you like the company, fair enough but £280 seems way tooooooo cheap to get all that done in my reckoning.Im sure i remember Matt saying somewhere that just to get the get the tailgate flushed and re-position the number plate and light properly done it would cost around £500. I may be wrong, and i hope i am for your sake, cos its a huge part of your car that is going to look dodgy if they mess it up.

    re: My oh so nice day

    Thanks for the concern Nat but I have faith in them and the guy I spoke to told me how he will be doing it and it was how tailgates should be flushed, ie. weld a plate, fill, smooth, smooth again........... bla bla bla

    As for the number plate, that will be left to me to relocate, but that`s easy anough until I get a new rear bumper.

    I noticed you had the Samuri kit on ebay as well, did you buy both kits?? Is the samurio kit still for sale or have you decided to fit the kit now.??

    Thanks again though.
