    Courtenays New Front mounted Intercooler

For those interested, Here are the comparisons of the three intercoolers.

    Std factory intercooler 598 cm2
    Original 9 litre Upgrade 864 cm2
    New front mounted 857 cm2

The big point is that the original 9 litre is slightly bigger, but only 40 % is exposed to direct flow, the new intercooler is 95% exposed.

Im right in saying to fit this to an Astra will require a fair bit of bumper chopping.

Oh - ok - seen that one.

Yes - that is very good design - would like to know how well it fits on an astra and what happens to the fan?

other than that - i'd put my order in for one!! - much better exposure than the other 9L IC

What are the dimensions of the inlet / oulet pipe work, the outlet dimension of the 9 ltr is said to be too small, causing a pressure drop !

Looks like the Evo 8 kind, this is very good this, you could have a custom made bumper to make way for it
