OK i really need help!;
Late last year, i tried to retro-fit cruise control to my Astra G (2000-X SXi 1.8 16v - flybywire) using a guide found on here.
I bought the clutch switch direct from Vauxhall, and got the indicator stalk from a breakers.
It didn't work, so I took it to my local Vauxhall dealers & had it plugged into Tech2 - The guy told me that it was already activated & should work.
I then realised that the indicator stalk was off an Omega, and was the wrong part number.. After recently changing this for the correct Astra part, I took it in again to have Tech2 done.. Again, the engineer told me that cruise control was activated, and should be working..
I explained to him what I had done & he proceded to perform further checks & also called the Vauxhall technical dept;
He concluded that either, the ECU is not compatable with cruise control, or that the control wires between the clutch switch/indicator stalk and ECU are not complete!
Has anybody got any suggestions, had any experience of this, or got a pin-out diagram of the ECU I could look at?
