    420nm Torque Remaps

    Hey all

    Just been reading a few web sites like regals, eds, amd courtney and ive seen that a few of this places are getting 420nm of torque, that is some real amazing power from Z20LEt engine, what iam wondering is are all this power graphs with the existing turbo. I have the AMD software (oz) and i could only pull 300nm of torque, what gives??

    Standard Z20LET puts out 250NM (184lbft)

    420NM = 309.7lbft

    most AMD maps here in the UK are putting out between - 240lbft(325NM) and 292lbft(395NM)
    Me run tings.... not tings run me!

    The only cars that are close to that 420NM figure is Pete and Davey who are both running phase 3 . Without a hybrid i very much doubt a torque figure like that can be reached, as proved on the AMD RR day. The highest torque figure i've seen on the standard turbo was LN's which was 292 ibft, the average Regal and Courtenay <- (generic maps) torque on the AMD RR day was around 260-270 ibft. Jass you should be able to to achieve around 240-260ibft with AMD pretty easy

    Thats what iam hoping Manch for some reason our cars can hit much higher then 300nm - 320nm. Our dump pipes might be too big perhaps?? AMD believe that maybe we need some back pressure in our systems, as they maybe to free flowing. How big are the dump pipes you guys run? Mine is 3 inch into a 2.5 system, and no pre cat.

    Is there any ideas?

    I think courtenay dump pipes/down pipes are 73mm ID which is around 2.8 inchs, LN had one on his car with a 2.75 inch exhaust system and got 293 ibft of torque so exhaust size shouldn't be a problem. What boost are they running?

    Nice , looking at your graph it is a little too peaky hehe. But it is plenty quick enough .
