    auto closure

    hi all,

i was wondering if an one has personally fitted a window closure unit to their astra to work in conjuction with the alarm.

i have a unit handy and wanted to fit it.

what i need to know is:
    1. does any one have a wiring diagram for the alarm module for an artra 1.8 sri 2002

    2. if you have fitted one did you wire the module to each window or use the feature builtin to the locking mechanism, whereby when you turn the key full 90 degrees the windows close.

    3. do i need a relay for the alarm arm output wire to work in conjuction with the closure unit or can i "tap" in to this wire without a relay unit.

    any help would be appreciated.

On the MK4 you don't need a window closure unit what you need is a total closure unit.

Basically with a window closer you have much to much wiing to do and with the vauxhall windows it wouldn't sense being at the top

In answer yo your other question myself and Steve have linked these to the factory alarm

How hard can it be? Damn mechanical people, when will they learn to leave the electrickery to those that know

Give em a minute and you'll have amps and volts spilling everywhere, bloody hard to mop up as well
