    sensor in front bumper!?!

    Due to replacing the front bumper on my sxi, does anyone know wot the sensor does located in the grill level with fog lights & allso where is best to relocate it- if need be??

    It's the temperature sensor for the MFD (display on the dash).

    As for relocatingi it - I spose it can go anywhere, as long as its not affected by an artificial heat source ie engine. On a MK3 its at the bottom of the bumper near the wheel.

    ok, chears. Ill just put it on the bottom of the bumper with a dollop of glue then.

    I think the nipple bit has to be in the airflow, so it'll need to be on the outside.

    What bumper you putting on??

    Rieger gtr, Im not sure if the temp gauge works on the centre console as ive got a different stereo??? this wont effect the running of the car will it?

    Shouldn't affect the running of the car - it's just for your information. The temp gauge should still work with a difeerent stereo.

    If your not too bothered just fasten it up out of the way somewhere (or a dob of glue /silicon)
