    Sat in a Monaro today

Went and sat in one at Brown's of Loughton today and went over the pricing. It costs too much, drinks petrol like water, is expensive to insure and scumbags are going to to nick it.

Having said all that, I can't stop myself from booking a test drive next week and having a feeling I will be signing the dotted line afterwards.

Saw the HSV/VXr version there too and it looks terrible. The wheels look plain wrong and the spoiler looks like something off a Senator. Plus it costs way too much.

I still haven't seen one, the dealer near me aren't going to get any despite being a VX220 dealer, as they reckon they'll just get a bunch of jokers test driving them as they get with the VX's

By the looks of sales, the Monaro has been a disaster in the UK so far.

Sat in it Drove it and walked away. Utter rubbish IMO. Who in their right mind is going to own a car that does 13mpg ?

The only people already own cars of this nature, Porsche, Ferrari, etc etc, and are they going to buy a Vauxhall ..................... erm I think not !

As I said elsewhere, it's either that or a used Merc' E55.

MPG isn't really a problem as I don't rack up the miles much. For instance, my almost three year old 2.2 Coupe has just over 24000 miles on it; plus I'm used to bad MPG as I once owned a 4.6 Range Rover.

Insurance is the killer. The Monaro actually costs quite a bit more to insure than the E55.
