    Supaguard ??

Been offered this on the new car .. guy from the dealership has just phoned. He says it protects the paint for 3 years :? :?

He asked if I wanted it, and I just said yes, as I have no idea WTF it is !

Anyone know anything about it - maybe shed some light onto what it does if anything !??

I thinks its the stuff that protects against stone chips and makes the car easier top clean apparently. My mate had it on her new clio, don't think it makes much difference tho

    re: Supaguard ??

Supagard is well worth having, I've done both of our cars with it. It is applied like a wax, but it actually a polymer coating, which contains UV filters as well as wax. It provides a layer of protection from dirt and stone chips AND protects the paintwork from fading.

When they offer to fit the £200 'Supagard' they aren't just applying paint sealer, they also do the Carpetgard, which I have on my car and it is actually like getting carpet Scotchguarded at home. They also apply a protectant IIRC to the dash and glass, which is a UV protector for the dash and a coating similar to a high grade Rain-X protection for the glass. There is also a FabricGard they apply to the seats and door trim.

The £200 cost then comes mainly from the labour, but if they will do Carpet and Paint Gard for free I would go for it

If you saw my car at Redline, that was Supagarded in April and has yet to see a coat of car wax since I will need to reapply it after the repaint of the spoilers and bumpers, but you can buy the pads on eBay for about £20
