    Computer help please?

I just used adaware to get rid of any spyware, as I keep getting advertisement popups all the time, including on AS . After I cleaned up, I rebooted the machine and this error appeared??

Anyone know what this means and know what I can do sort this out please :?:

its part of a spy softwear program and not needed as adawear has got rid of the actual program, do a search for the offending item " bridge.dll " and delete it, all it does is create a bridge for the spy softwear to link all your files where you have been on the net to send them info

the library file is missing hence the error message.

Some program or a line in one of ur system .INI files is calling for that library which has been deleted.

click on start menu and run
type sysedit and then remove any line that looks to bridge.dll
also do the same but type regedit and then search for bridge.dll and remove entries
that will get it as i had the same thing

oh yeah, under sysedit there will be 4 windows

    system.ini
    win.ini
    config.sys
    and autoexec.sys

the last 2 i mentioned wont contain the problem as they are an old dos requirement that has now been superseeded - could be in either of the others but expecting win.ini as system.ini is usaully run before getting to desktop and then win.ini is run after explorer has booted.

Hope that makes sense - but it could also be in the reg so regedit will pick that up - just click edit, find and type bridge.dll - delete entry if it finds 1 and then find next to see if it can find another. - repeat till clean
