As dannysport says. Wax and polish are quite different (although you can get all in one solutions). Polish always comes before waxing. As well as creating the deep colour it also nourishes the paintwork to stop it drying out. But all this would be to no avail if you didn't seal and protect the finish with a wax, which should only be applied after a polish otherwise you just seal in any imperfections!!

Sorry to hi-jack the thread. At the recent Redline Rumble, I noticed some people using some spray on stuff which gave their car a quick shine. Does anyone know what this is?

Say you have the following situation, spend all day washing and waxing the car on saturday and you have an event to go on sunday. What can you put on the car that will get rid of the tiny tiny amount of crap you picked up in those last 12 hours? Plus what would give it a nice shine?

    Thanks

But that leaves watermarks and requires wiping down using leather to get rid of it. Takes bloody ages which is ok if you got the whole day free but not when you're in a rush.

This seems exactly what I'm after. If the car has been recently washed and wax and you want a quick touch up then this seems like the item. Cheers people.
