    ps2

    just wondered if any of you lovely people could give me some ideas what might be wrong with the kids ps2

    when they put a disk in it comes up disc error can`t read

    i have cleaned disks and blown inside the draw but nothing seems to work is it broken or is there something i can do

    tryed different games?
    could be a problem with the laser that reads them, if so can be expensive to fix, shouldnt be though if the playstation is quite new,
    otherwise im not sure sorry

    Get Martin to open that casing of the ps2 and get a cotton swab and clean the laser out. that will work

    Well not really no as general cleaning is to open the casing as the fan draws in dust as well as vents air out.

    try lens cleaner, if that don't work is it under warranty?
    if not call sony helpline and they'll arrange a replacement - not sure of cost but it used to be £50
    got this same problem with mine at the moment and it's on it's second dvd drive!!!
