    reiger skirt exhaust cut out

just dropped off my car to a bodyshop to get the reiger skirt fitted to my coupe, because i got a duplex exhaust system, im having the cut out re-filled so it matches the other side, question is what do bodyshops use to fill this?
the guy thats doing mine said he will plastic weld in a piece at the back, then build it up using fibreglass and filler, but he said it could crack if i scrape it on a hump or somthing
is that the case with this?
    or is there another way?

    cheers

You're always gonna have the danger of cracking when fibreglass is involved.

If he can match the plastic (as in same type, same melt temperatures) then that would be the best option. But again, it may turn the plastic a bit more brittle.

    The joys !

If you had posted earlier maybe we could have looked for the vauxhall part that fits here - It by Irmscher - expensive though for what it is!!! - DAMN Hindsight!!!

Yeah - but the official piece for the cut out is irmscher - if you look at the brochures when you select duplex exhaust it also recommends you get this part.

Once you've filled that bit in you can add whatever you like
