    Restricted 2.2

I've read recently that the 2.2 is restricted in first and second gear. Is this true? and does anyone have any info'. Cheers.

I think its due to the gearbox somehow.

Mine's felt a lot better since I got switchable traction control - not sure if this is a real difference or just imaginary, it just feels better and is not 'dipping' near the rev limiter

all gears have a limit due to their design, t/c helps protect them from abuse, hit the limit too often and you will pay for it

Also the 2.2 gearbox seems to have odd ratios in 1st and 2nd - get into 3rd as soon as poss and you're guaranteed a big smile - it's awesome (as other 2.2 owner will no doubt testify)
