Thinking of changing my car... for a stilo

I can't afford the running of my Astra. It's only a 1.8 and it's costing me around £35 to £55 per week and it's really annoying me. I bought this car when I never did a lot of mileage but lately I can't seem to help it.

I like the car a lot and the lowered suspension has made all the difference to the handling.

I'm thinking of a Fiat Stilo 115 JTD. It's very close perfromance wise and does around 56MPG on the motorway and 46 in town!

Does anyone have any opinions on this car?

I was hoping for the 3 door but the 5 door is a lot easier to find and cheaper too.

If all goes to plan, i'll be selling...

    - Astra 1.8 SXI 2000W with 31000 miles on the clock with FSH etc etc

Probably will get more if I sell the car as standard and the parts seperate so...

    - SPAX VSX kit 40mm lowering all round
    - Lexmaul grille
    - Matrix Energy 17" alloys with TOYO Proxes (same as slimshadys)

Can't think of anything else I've done to the car apart from keep it fully serviced at large expense etc etc.

If you want to make me any offers on what i'm selling then let me know.

Any helpful comments regarding the Stilo would be great too.

Open to offers allan. I only got it lowered about 8 weeks ago and it's made an amazing difference.

I would have to pay for the labour costs of removing it all though and all in the kit cost me nearly £400.00.

This kit comes with a lifetime warranty.

It's a great looking car I agree but it's got to be down to what I can afford and how easily I can find what I want.

Also, the gf likes the idea of a 5 door as usual and I'd pay anyone of you to try shutting her up and stop her from getting her way

They are ok cars to drive, nice to look at (in a 3 door with the 17 in 5 spoke alloys) but there are alot of things go wrong with them. I drive 53 plates everyday and atleast 4 out of 5 have something wrong with them. Not to put a downer on them like. The Abrath or whatever you call it is a nice car.
