Intercooler fitting - some help please

Ok, Im in midst I/C fit and have stumbled across a couple of problems.

The first (and biggest) is that the standard lower boost hose that goes onto the I/C doesnt fit the new intercooler (i.e. the blue silicone hose in the picture below).

The second (and a lot more minor), is that there is a mounting bracket on the top of the I/C to the right hand side which is so that it can bolt into the radiator where the standard one is, but it also has one on the left which A) has no-where to bolt to, and B causes the I/C to sit at an angle.

    anyone got any ideas :?:

Have also just had a look at the I/C pictured on their site (below) and it only has one mounting bracket on the right.

I was thinking of getting a piece of aluminium welded somewhere on the left and then making some sort of bracket that extends from the original IC mounting position to the piece of aluminium on the new IC!

The question to all those that have fitted or had the bigger IC fitted is - is it really neccessary to do this or is it ok with just the top right/bottom mounting?

    Any comments!

Another thing! I bought the whole fitting kit with my intercooler and it came with new boost pipes. The lower boost pipe you are reffering to is a lot bigger than the original.

re: Intercooler fitting - some help please

Imported everything, including power pipe and dump valve, from Regal.
