    Advice needed on colour coding

    Whats the best way to get the side strips and door handles colour coded?
    get em sprayed or jus buy already sprayed parts and fit em?
    my car is crying to be colour coded:

    if your gonna spray em mate make sure whoever does em prepares them propally, i had a company that didnt rub anything down, so when they sprayed they didnt have a good key and a few months later it peeled off and looked pants

    yea ive heard that they jus come off, my local garage ses he will put a soloution on or rub it down or sumfin so it is easy to spray it and it matches the bodywork

    the side strips need rubbing down untill they are smooth, i got told about the solution stuff when i had mine done, believe me it dont work it all ends in flaky paint and a lot of elbow grease to get the rest off

    i will tell the guy to rub it down till it is smooth. makes the car look much better when it is colour coded, dont u think?

    It does make it look lots better with the bump strips & handles colour coded. I am going to get mine done over the next few weeks, hopefully before PV04

    If you are worried, get the pre painted ones and then rub them down.
    Should be easier than starting from plastic.

    Done mine myself....Thing is if it goes wrong they aren't expensive to replace....

    There are a few threads with instructions on how its done, have a search for threads by Soton Steve, or a thread called done this today.....

    Yeah as Milesy said look at the post my bro did about colour coding his car it is a good job and looks great!! it was done with off the shelf vauxhall colours from halfords, if you fancy having a crack at DIY, for you and anyone else who is interested look here
    the only factor is how long it will last as other people have said it could peel in the future (fingers crossed that it doesn't) HTH
