    Help removing centre console

Could someone please direct me to a guide for removing the astra coupe's centre console.

And does anybody have any tips for when fitting the regal rear light covers?

Also does the mk4 astra haynes manual do for the coupe ??

    cheers

removing centre console: you will need a star head screw driver.

take out radio - undo the screws inside, and at the side of the console in the gap where the radio was.

open litter tray & pull down flap - undo screws along top of there.

pull off that little bit surrounding the fag lighter - undo the screw above this.

i think now you need to pull it out and up - the top where the display is, are some pegs, which fit horizontally (pull top bit toward you quite hard) and the bottom bit fits vertically (pull this up)

but dont pull it out completly, you need to undo the screws at the back of the temp/time display (only 2 either side)

then you need to unclip the temp and fan controls - get your hands around the back, there are metal clips on the top and the bottom of the unit (these are the sides)
use a flat screw driver and lift these up and gentle wiggle the unit out.

from what i can remember i think thats it.
dosent take to long, bout 10 min

I can't even get my stereo out, even with the correct tools. It's wedged in.

You'll have to remove the glovebox (6 x size 15 or 20 torx bits) and reach up behind the radio to unscrew the cage that the radio is attached to. Just done this last week, its pretty easy to get to luckily.

It's easy - can change the console in about 30 minutes The toughest bit is removing the heater vents, have to wedge two flat screwdrivers in to release the clips.

Just make sure the ashtray doesn't fall apart when you remove it.

I followed this to the letter and it worked perfect, I found it was easier to have the glovebox out, that way I could reach up inside the dash and push the top of the centre console away from the rest of the dash, i.e. towards the rear of the car, instead of pulling.
