    Engine differences

Hiya, as it says in my sig at the bottom, i have a 1.8 sport Mk 4 Astra. I am guessing, by the way it goes, I have got the 115 brake engine. Now, in the Vectra 1.8 sri its a 130 brake engine. You can probably guess the rest, but, how do I get my Astra to 130 brake. My guess would be slightly altered Camshaft profiles + a different map or even different ecu. I don't find it underpowered, but, a few more gee gees always comes in handy.

    It isn't.

The Vectra SRi 130 is a model name. It actually puts out 125bhp.

The Vectra SRi 150 2.2 puts out 147.

    re: Engine differences

Thanks, I'm sure that as air pressure increases and decreases and with changes in viscocity of the oil, oh and minor alterations in the octane rating of the fuel it would vary quite widely. In theory then, there probably wouldn't be enough space to fit all permutations on the door panel

So, what are the mechanical and operational differences please.

    Thanks
