    pins out on a connector lead

    I have changed my head unit and got a converter cable, however I need to reverse the live and ignition live. How do I prise the little pins out without f*****g the whole thing up?

    just cut the wires and connect them to the other ones.

    Most decent head units already have the Red & Yellow wires on bullet connections to allow you to do this.

    You could try those 'watchmakers' screwdrivers, or even a paperclip.


    Although as mentioned, you should be able to swap leads from HU to convertor, before plugging into Vxl loom

    I will give the presision driver a ry first, failing that I will cut them.
    It's a VDO head unit, so I thought that the leads would have already been changed :? . And I needed to buy a lead to connect the stereo to the original wiring and thought that this also may have changed it, but it didn't. :?
