    Headunit advice

    so

im getting my first Astra at the end of this week - and it doesnt have a CD player - only tape

as soon as possible - i want to get a CD Headunit - and i cant live without having music in my car

can anyone recommend a CD Headunit, £100 or less - that'll fit into the car without too much hassle?

    cheers

    matt

jvc do a cheap CD player i think halfords have got it for £95 so if you look around you may be able to get it cheaper!!

its a very basic unit but it plays CD and i believe is 4x45W output will go straight in!!

yeah you do!! you can pick them up at halfords too, about a tenner i think!!
but you need to swap the RED and YELLOW leads over to get the constant live and ignition live correct other wise the HU will loose its memory every time you switch the igintion off!! (can someone second this for me, i believe it is the RED and YELLOW leads that need swapping)

i dont no why they dont sort the harness's out and make then right in the first place!!
but then perhaps that would be to easy!!!

although the same needs to be done for VW's as well as my mate came to me with the same problem!!

think some one some where is trying to have a laugh!!!
