    Bertone cooling fan problem.

Hi everyone my first posting so be gentle with me....just accquired a nice bertone convertible 1.6i 1996 which has a problem i've noticed that the cooling fan doesn't cut in until the temp gauge is reading just over 100 degrees ,i've changed the fan switch and the temp sender but it makes no difference other than eliminate these parts from being faulty. The fan switch is a genuine vauxhall part and is marked 100-95 which i presume is the operating range of the cut in and out of the fan but this seems a bit too high for my liking so does anyone know of an alternative switch which has a lower temp range.perhaps 95-90.thanks guys.

normal temp for fan to cut in is 98 so the 100-95 is the right one any less than the required would run the engine cold which means fuel consumption would be higher due to the fan cutting in all the time and the bhp would suffer "a hot engine is more efficient, you could opt for a summer thermostat which would reduce the operating temp for the fan to cut in
