    40,000 mile service tomorrow...

Car's done 31k but at 20k miles (when I bought it) I had the 30k mile service done.

They've quoted me £175 for the service, £20 for brake fluid change and £21 for all 3 wiper blades being replaced.

They offered me a coolant change but gonna get that done before winter arrives.

Does anyone know what this service involves as it's a more intense one than the usual type of service.

    ..........

    One more thing...

I told the guy on the phone that my revs have been bouncing in 1st gear when I get high up in the range and then suddenly have to stop (down to 500rpm, then back up to 1500RPM several times like it's going to stall).

He said "without looking at the car I think it's the fact that you've replaced the panel filter on your car and the fuelling won't be right..."?

I've only de-restricted the airbox like a lot of people on here and replaced the panel filter inside with a pipercross one so could he be right?

    40k is cambelt time

The idle drop is usually just inlet pipe grime - get some carb cleaner and do a search on here
why do today what you can...... I'll finish this later

If it's hunting it could be a fueling problem or a problem with the vacumn lines, not likely to be caused by the airbox i wouln't have thought

My 40k service is next week, including the cambelt change its costing me around £350. The car has just hit 38k.
