    Suspicious Sky Satellite problem . . .

    Hi,

Got sky a while ago, recently got asked if we want to pay £40 insurance per year.
Of course that's a ridiculous amount of money, so I said no.

Now after a few weeks, the picture freezes now and again, goes pixelated.

Now call me paranoid, but I reckon they (sky) are doing this on purpose

Anyone else had similar problems ?
(It mainly seems to be on Beeb 1 and Beeb 2)

    Panasonic digibox.

    Cheers

Insurance for what - someone nicking the dish or it falling off?

Could be a dodgy install as I doubt they'd bother about stuffing it up for individuals...

i used to work for sky and the chances are that the LMB on your dish has slightly moved...your should fone them up and they will do some tests if you aint already done so, a wouldnae think they would do it on purpose...most digiboxes dont have a long lifespam anyway if it is your digibox which is at fault

I have to say, Sky is great for all the channels, but the boxes are prone to problems, and with no insurance you end up paying if theres a problem...

Someone recommended that I 'reset' the box by leaving it unplugged for a while.
    I'm trying that now
